Valley of the Giant Organics Olives and Wines is 500 kilometres South of Perth on the Southern Ocean Coast of Western Australia west of Denmark and east of Walpole. The estate is in the Walpole Wilderness National Park and the Valley of the Giants renowned for the large red tingle trees and the Tree Top Walk. A popular tourist nature base region with history, heritage, arts and Great Southern Taste food and wine.
The Estate, owned and operated by Swiss couple Andreas (Andy) and Irene Bachmann, is a 120 acre farm located on a hillside with views over the Wildeness National Park. Hence, adopting the name of the local region, Valley of the Giants Organics,
Two olive groves were establishing in 1998 and 1999 and achieving full certification through NASAA in 2003, the Bachmann’s now have a total of 1500 olive trees producing three varieties of oil – primarily Frantoio, Manzanillo and Nevadillo Blanco.
“Because of our cool climate, which is similar to the regions of Tuscany and Northern Italy, the source of many of the world’s best olive oil, we are able to produce oil of top quality, with very low free fatty acid levels,” says Andy.
